Our Youth, Our Future
We empower youth to develop resilience, confidence, and prosperity—key drivers in eradicating poverty, advancing food security, and promoting sustainable economic growth within our community.

Our Vision
At MBALI THE VILLAGE, our vision is to empower youth to unlock their potential, build resilience, and gain the confidence needed to break cycles of poverty, strengthen food security, create employment, and drive sustainable economic growth. To achieve this, we provide intervention programmes that foster active youth participation in their community—ranging from academic support and nutrition to agricultural initiatives, sports, and cultural activities. Together, we are building a foundation for long-term growth and transformation.
Nutrition
Our initiative provides children with nutritious morning meals, giving them the energy and focus needed to excel in school. At MBALI THE VILLAGE, we believe proper nutrition is the springboard to learning, breaking the cycle of poverty and malnutrition in our community.

Netball & Football Training
At MBALI THE VILLAGE, we host netball and football training sessions after school, following the academic support provided by our facilitators. This approach ensures that children not only strengthen their minds through learning but also develop physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline—laying the foundation for well-rounded personal growth.
Shelter
MBALI THE VILLAGE partners with Child Welfare and the South African Police Service (SAPS) to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. Each resident is connected with caregivers or social workers who support their care plan, including counseling and self-care guidance. Beyond providing a safe environment for women and children, we empower women through skills development programs—such as gardening and vocational training—helping them gain independence and transform their futures.
